Prayer in Mina

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) led a prayer in Mina with two rak'ahs when the people were numerous and secure.

It was narrated that Harithah bin Wahab said: "The Messenger of Allah led us in prayer in Mina, two rak'ahs, when the people were greater in number and more secure".
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، ح وَأَنْبَأَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ بِمِنًى أَكْثَرَ مَا كَانَ النَّاسُ وَآمَنَهُ رَكْعَتَيْنِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) prayer in Mina, which was two rak'ahs long. A rak’ah is a unit of Islamic prayer that consists of standing, bowing, prostrating and sitting on the ground. The people present at this prayer were numerous and secure. This hadith teaches us that it is important to pray even when we are safe and surrounded by many people as it brings us closer to Allah SWT. It also shows us how important it is to follow the example of our beloved Prophet Muhammad PBUH as he was an exemplary role model for all Muslims throughout history.
