Learning Tashahhud from the Prophet

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught his companions the tashahhud, which is a part of the prayer, just as he would teach them a surah from the Quran.

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: "The Messenger of Allah used to teach us the tashahhud just as he used to teach us a surah from the Quran".
