EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith, narrated by Abu Mas'ud, teaches us that the prayer is not considered valid unless one's back is in a resting position while bowing and prostrating. This means that when performing salat, or prayer, it is important to make sure that your back remains straight and still during the ruku', or bowing down, and sujud, or prostration. It also implies that one should take their time to ensure they are properly performing each of these movements as part of their salat. This hadith emphasizes the importance of taking care to perform salat correctly in order to be rewarded for it.
