Reciting Quran During Maghrib Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad recited a chapter of the Quran in two parts during Maghrib prayer.

It was narrated from Aishah that: The Messenger of Allah recited Surat Al-A'raf in maghrib and split it between two rak'ahs.
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ، وَأَبُو حَيْوَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَرَأَ فِي صَلاَةِ الْمَغْرِبِ بِسُورَةِ الأَعْرَافِ فَرَّقَهَا فِي رَكْعَتَيْنِ

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad was known for his devotion to the Quran and its teachings. He would often recite it during his prayers, including at maghrib, which is the fourth of five daily prayers. In this hadith, it is narrated that he recited Surat Al-A'raf in two parts between two rak'ahs. This shows us how important it was for him to recite and reflect on the words of Allah during prayer time. It also serves as an example for us to follow when we pray - that we should take our time to read and understand what we are saying so that we can truly benefit from our worship.
