Proclaiming Allah's Greatness in Battle

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) prayed Fajr and then attacked the enemy, proclaiming Allah's greatness and that Khaibar was destroyed.

It was narrated that Anas said: "The Messenger of Allah prayed Fajr on the day of Khaibar during the time it was still dark, when he was near the enemy. Then he attacked them and said: 'Allahu Akbar! Khaibar is destroyed!' Twice'.Then, when it descends in their courtyard, evil will be the morning for those who had been warned!'" 1 1 As-Saffat 37:177
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ صَلاَةَ الصُّبْحِ بِغَلَسٍ وَهُوَ قَرِيبٌ مِنْهُمْ فَأَغَارَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَقَالَ ‏ "‏ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ خَرِبَتْ خَيْبَرُ - مَرَّتَيْنِ - إِنَّا إِذَا نَزَلْنَا بِسَاحَةِ قَوْمٍ فَسَاءَ صَبَاحُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's battle against the people of Khaibar. Before attacking them he prayed Fajr to show his faith in Allah and proclaim His greatness. After defeating them he proclaimed "Allahu Akbar! Khaibar is destroyed!" twice to show that it was only through Allah's power that they were defeated. This hadith teaches us to always put our trust in Allah and proclaim His greatness even when we are facing difficult situations or enemies. We should also remember that it is only through His power that we can be successful in any endeavor we undertake.
