Entering and Leaving Mecca

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) entered Mecca from its higher side and left from its lower side.

Narrated 'Aisha: When the Prophet came to Mecca he entered from its higher side and left from its lower side.

QUICK LESSONS:
Be respectful and humble when entering or leaving a place; be mindful and aware at all times; take note of your surroundings; appreciate what you see around you.

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was known for his exemplary behavior, even in the most mundane of tasks. This hadith is an example of this, as it narrates that when the Prophet ﷺ visited Mecca, he entered from its higher side and left from its lower side. This shows us that even in something as simple as entering or leaving a place, we should strive to do so with respect and humility. We can also learn to be mindful of our actions at all times, no matter how small they may seem.

The Prophet's actions also demonstrate the importance of being aware of our surroundings; by entering from one side and leaving another he was able to take in all aspects of his environment without missing anything important or significant. It is a reminder for us to be mindful not only of our own actions but also those around us so that we can make sure nothing goes unnoticed or unappreciated.
