Entering and Leaving Mecca

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to enter and leave Mecca from two different routes.

Narrated Ibn 'Umar: Allah's Messenger used to enter Mecca from the high Thaniya and used to leave Mecca from the low Thaniya.

QUICK LESSONS:
Strive for humility in our actions

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) practice of entering and leaving the city of Mecca. He would enter from a high route called Thaniya, and leave from a low route also called Thaniya. This shows us that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was humble in his actions, as he chose to take a lower route when leaving rather than taking the same high one he entered with. It also teaches us that we should always strive for humility in our actions, no matter how successful or accomplished we become.
