He said: 'Take a piece of cotton wool scented with musk and clean yourself with it'. She said: 'How should I clean myself with it?' He said: 'Clean yourself with it'. She said: "How should I clean myself with it?' The Messenger of Allah said: 'Subhan Allah!' and turned away from her"'.Aishah understood what the Messenger of Allah meant, and said: "So I pulled her toward me and told her what the Messenger of Allah meant".

QUICK LESSONS:
Strive for physical and spiritual cleanliness in life

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how one should perform the ritual of purification known as ghusl. The Prophet Muhammad was asked by a woman how she should clean herself when she becomes pure, and he instructed her to take a piece of cotton wool scented with musk and clean herself with it. When the woman asked for clarification on how exactly she should do this, the Prophet said “Subhan Allah!” which means “Glory be to God!” in Arabic. 'Aishah then understood what he meant and explained it further to the woman. This hadith teaches us that we must always strive for cleanliness in our lives, both physically and spiritually, as it is an important part of our faith as Muslims. It also shows us that we must be patient when teaching others about our faith, even if they don't understand something right away or ask questions multiple times.
