EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how to perform Ghusl, which is an Islamic ritual of washing oneself in order to become clean and pure. The hadith tells us that 'Aishah remembers performing this ritual with the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). They used a vessel like a Sa', which is a small container for water, and she poured water over her head three times without undoing any of her hair. This teaches us that when we perform Ghusl, we should use enough water to cover our entire body including our hair. It also shows us that it is important to follow the example set by the Prophet Muhammad in all aspects of life.
