EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains the steps of performing wudu according to Prophet Muhammad. Wudu is an Islamic ritual that involves washing certain parts of the body with water in a specific order. It is a form of purification and cleanliness that Muslims must perform before engaging in prayer or other religious activities. The hadith states that after making niyyah (intention) for wudhu, one should scoop up one handful of water and rinse their mouth and nose with it. Then they should scoop up another handful and wash their face with it three times. After this, they should scoop up another handful and wash their right hand three times followed by washing their left hand three times with another handful of water. Then they should wipe over their head from front to back once using both hands together followed by wiping over each ear once using the forefinger on the inside and thumb on the outside respectively. Finally, they should scoop up a handful of water for each foot and wash them both starting from toes to ankles thrice each time while saying “Bismillah” before every step except for wiping over head which does not require any verbalization according to some scholars while others say “Bismillah” can be said even then if desired . After completing all these steps one has successfully performed wudhu according to Prophet Muhammad's instructions as narrated by Ibn 'Abbas .
