EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about giving charity in the form of food items known as Zakat-ul-Fitr. It was narrated by Abu Sa'id Al Khudri that people used to give one Sa’ or measure of meal or barley or dates or cottage cheese or raisins as Zakat al Fitr. This type of charity was given to those who were less fortunate and could not afford to buy their own food for Eid celebrations. It was a way for people to share their blessings with others and help those who were struggling financially. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that it is important to be generous and kind towards others even if we have little ourselves. He also taught us that it is better to give than receive because when we give from our hearts, Allah will reward us greatly for our good deeds.
