Visiting the Mosque of Banu Mu'awiya

SUMMARY: Allah's Messenger (PBUH) visited the mosque of Banu Mu'awiya with a group of his companions.

Amir b. Sa'd reported on the authority of his father that Allah's Messenger came with a group of his Companions and he passed by the mosque of Banu Mu'awiya. The rest of the hadith is the same.
وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ الأَنْصَارِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَامِرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ أَقْبَلَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ فِي طَائِفَةٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ فَمَرَّ بِمَسْجِدِ بَنِي مُعَاوِيَةَ ‏.‏ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ نُمَيْرٍ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith narrates an event in which Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and a group of his companions visited the mosque of Banu Mu'awiya. This hadith teaches us that it is important to visit mosques and to be in the company of righteous people as it was done by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ himself. It also shows us how much respect he had for places where people worshiped God and how he encouraged others to do so as well. Visiting mosques is an act that brings one closer to God and helps one remember Him more often, something that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ highly encouraged throughout his life.
