Respect for Allah

SUMMARY: Believers should respect Allah by not doing what He has forbidden.

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger as saying: Allah is self-respecting and a believer is also self-respecting and the respect of Allah is injured if a believer does what He has forbidden him to do.

When a believer does something that is forbidden, it shows a lack of respect for Allah and His commands. This hadith also reminds us to be mindful of our actions and to think twice before we do something that goes against the teachings of Islam.
