A hadith like this has been transmitted on the authority of A'mash with the same chain of transmitters and he (further) said: There is for him ten like that (the good he performed) or more than that.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us through this hadith that if we want to receive the blessings of Allah then we must strive to do what is right and stay away from wrongdoings. He also taught us that whatever we do in this world has consequences and Allah rewards us for our actions accordingly. Therefore, it is important for all of us to remember these teachings so that we can live a life full of goodness and righteousness which will ultimately lead us towards success in both worlds - the Hereafter as well as the Dunya (worldly life).
This hadith also teaches us about patience and perseverance because sometimes it may take time before one sees the fruits of their labour but eventually they will reap its benefits if they remain steadfast on their path towards righteousness. Furthermore, it encourages people to keep striving towards goodness no matter how difficult or challenging things may seem because eventually their efforts will be rewarded manifold by Allah Almighty Himself!
