Narrated Usama bin Zaid: Allah's Messenger proceeded from 'Arafat till when he reached the mountain pass, he dismounted, urinated and then performed ablution but not a perfect one. I said to him, ("Is it the time for) the prayer, O Allah's Messenger ?" He said, "The (place of) prayer is ahead of you". He rode till when he reached Al-Muzdalifa, he dismounted and performed ablution and a perfect one, The (call for) Iqama was pronounced and he led the Maghrib prayer. Then everybody made his camel kneel down at its place.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet's journey from Arafat to Muzdalifah. He stopped to perform ablution but it was not a perfect one. When asked if it was time for prayer he said that the place of prayer was ahead of them. When they reached Muzdalifah he performed a perfect ablution and then led the Maghrib prayer followed by Isha without any other prayers in between them. This hadith teaches us that we should always be prepared for our prayers no matter where we are or what we are doing as Allah's Messenger did when he stopped to perform his ablutions even though it wasn't perfect yet still managed to lead his people in their prayers on time. It also teaches us that when performing our ablutions we should take care to do so perfectly as this is an important part of our worship which must be done correctly according to Islamic teachings.
