Do good deeds and avoid asking or wishing for one's own demise before its time comes .

This hadith speaks to the importance of living a life that brings goodness and avoiding asking for death before it comes. It was narrated by Hammam b. Munabbih who heard it from Abu Huraira who heard it from Allah's Messenger. The Prophet Muhammad taught that when someone dies they stop doing good deeds and so the life of a believer should be prolonged with good deeds in order to bring more goodness into this world. We should not wish for death or call for it before its time as this will prevent us from doing more good in our lives and ultimately benefit those around us as well as ourselves in the afterlife.
