The Unacceptability of Curses on the Day of Resurrection

SUMMARY: Invoking curses will not be accepted on the Day of Resurrection.

Umm Darda' reported on the authority of Abu Darda' as saying: I heard Allah's Messenger as saying: The invoker of curse would neither be witness nor intercessor on the Day of Resurrection.

QUICK LESSONS:
Speak kindly and positively even when disagreeing with someone or something

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how invoking curses will not be accepted on the day of resurrection. On this day, all people will be judged for their actions and deeds in life. It is important to remember that cursing someone or something is a major sin and it should never be done as it has no place in Islam. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) taught us that those who invoke curses will not have any power to intercede or witness on behalf of anyone else on this day, as their own sins are too great to do so. We must strive to always speak kindly and positively, even when we disagree with someone or something, as this is what Allah expects from us.
