Sahih Muslim 2577d (Book 45, Hadith 73) #13651
Oppression is Unlawful

SUMMARY: Allah has made oppression unlawful for himself and his servants.

Abu Dharr reported Allah's Messenger as saying that he reported it from his Lord, the Exalted and Glorious: Verily I have made oppression unlawful for Me and for My servants too, so do not commit oppression. The rest of the hadith is the same.

QUICK LESSONS:
Do not commit oppression in any form; treat others with kindness and respect regardless of their religion or background; strive to create a world where everyone feels safe and respected so that we can all live in harmony with one another.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith, narrated by Abu Dharr, tells us that Allah has made oppression unlawful for himself and his servants. This means that it is not permissible to oppress anyone or anything in any way. Oppression can take many forms such as physical violence, verbal abuse, or even taking advantage of someone's vulnerability. It is important to remember that no matter how small the act of oppression may seem, it is still wrong and should be avoided at all costs. The Prophet Muhammad also taught us to treat others with kindness and respect regardless of their religion or background. We should strive to create a world where everyone feels safe and respected so that we can all live in harmony with one another.
