Praising Certain Tribes

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) praised four tribes and said they are better than three other tribes.

Abu Bakra reported from the Messenger of Allah that Aslam, Ghifar, Muzaina and Juhaina are better than Banu Tamim, Banu Amir and their allies Banu Asad and Ghatafan.
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ، الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ قَالَ ‏ "‏ أَسْلَمُ وَغِفَارُ وَمُزَيْنَةُ وَجُهَيْنَةُ خَيْرٌ مِنْ بَنِي تَمِيمٍ وَمِنْ بَنِي عَامِرٍ وَالْحَلِيفَيْنِ بَنِي أَسَدٍ وَغَطَفَانَ

This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's praise for certain tribes. He praised four tribes - Aslam, Ghifar, Muzaina and Juhaina - and said that they were better than three other tribes - Banu Tamim, Banu Amir and their allies Banu Asad and Ghatafan. This hadith teaches us to be kind to others regardless of their tribe or background.
