Sahih Muslim 2438a (Book 44, Hadith 113) #13364
Accepting Dreams as From Allah

SUMMARY: Allah's Messenger saw himself in a dream and was told that the person in the dream was his wife. He accepted it as being from Allah and said if it is from Allah, let Him carry it out.

'A'isha reported Allah's Messenger having said: I saw you in a dream for three nights when an angel brought you to me in a silk cloth and he said: Here is your wife, and when I removed (the cloth) from your face, lo, it was yourself, so I said: If this is from Allah, let Him carry it out.

QUICK LESSONS:
Have faith in divine will & accept whatever comes our way with patience & gratitude .

EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith, Prophet Muhammad saw himself in a dream with an angel who brought him to his wife. The angel said that the person he saw was his wife and when he removed the cloth from her face, he realized that it was himself. He accepted this as being from Allah and said if this is from Him, then let Him carry it out. This hadith teaches us to accept whatever comes our way through dreams or otherwise as being from God's will and to trust His plan for us even if we don't understand why something has happened or why something has been revealed to us through dreams or visions. We should have faith that whatever happens is part of God's plan for us and accept it with patience and gratitude.
