Showing Love for Al-Hasan b. Ali

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) showed his love for Al-Hasan b. Ali by placing him on his shoulders and praying to Allah to love him too.

Al-Bara' b. Azib reported: I saw the Messenger of Allah with Al-Hasan b. 'Ali placed upon his shoulders and he was saying: O Allah, I love him, and love him Thou.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ قَالَ ابْنُ نَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَدِيٍّ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَابِتٍ - عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَاضِعًا الْحَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ عَلَى عَاتِقِهِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ ‏ "‏ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أُحِبُّهُ فَأَحِبَّهُ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's love for his grandson, Al-Hasan bin Ali, and how he expressed it in a beautiful way. He placed him on his shoulders and prayed to Allah that He loves him too. This hadith teaches us the importance of expressing our love for our family members in a tangible way, as well as praying to Allah that He loves them too. It also shows us the importance of having strong family ties and loving each other unconditionally, no matter what happens between us or around us in life. We should always remember that we are all part of one big family - the Ummah of Islam - and we should strive to show our love towards each other through words and actions alike!
