Sahih Muslim 2286c (Book 43, Hadith 24) #13049
The Last Brick in the House

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is comparing himself to a brick in a beautiful house, saying that he is the last of the Apostles.

Abu Hurairh reported Allah's Messenger as saying: The similitude of mine and that of the Apostles before me is that of a person who built a house quite imposing and beautiful, but for one brick in one of its corners. People would go round it, appreciating the building, but saying: Why has the brick not been fixed here? He said: I am that brick and I am the last of the Apostles.

EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith, Prophet Muhammad is comparing himself to a brick in a beautiful house. He explains that he is like the last brick in this house, and that he is also the last of all Apostles. This hadith teaches us about humility and modesty; even though Prophet Muhammad was an important figure, he still saw himself as just one small part of something much bigger. It also shows us how important it is to appreciate every single part of something; without each individual piece, something can never be complete or perfect. Finally, it reminds us that we should always strive for excellence and perfection in whatever we do; even if it's just one small thing!
