Cooling Fever with Water

SUMMARY: Fever is a result of the intense heat of Hell, and can be cooled with water.

Rafi' b. Khadij reported: I heard Allah's messenger as saying: The fever is due to the intense heat of the Hell, so cool it with water.
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبَايَةَ، بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ عَنْ جَدِّهِ، رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ ‏ "‏ إِنَّ الْحُمَّى فَوْرٌ مِنْ جَهَنَّمَ فَابْرُدُوهَا بِالْمَاءِ
