This hadith is about the importance of attending funerals and offering prayers for the deceased. It was narrated by Abu Huraira that Allah's Messenger said, "Whoever attends the funeral procession till he offers the funeral prayer for it, will get a reward equal to one Qirat, and whoever accompanies it till burial, will get a reward equal to two Qirats". A qirat is an amount of wealth equivalent to two huge mountains. This hadith teaches us that we should attend funerals and offer prayers for those who have passed away as this act has great rewards in store for us in this world and hereafter. We should also remember that death is inevitable so we must always be prepared for it by doing good deeds throughout our lives.
