Praying in Line with the Prophet

SUMMARY: The Prophet (pbuh) led a prayer and people lined up behind him.

Narrated Ash-Shaibani: Ash-Shu'bi said, "Somebody who passed along with your Prophet (pbuh) by a grave that was separate from the other graves informed me (saying), "The Prophet led us (in the prayer) and we aligned behind him". We said, "O Abu 'Amr! Who told you this narration?" He replied, "Ibn 'Abbas".
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ، مَرَّ مَعَ نَبِيِّكُمْ عَلَى قَبْرٍ مَنْبُوذٍ فَأَمَّنَا فَصَفَفْنَا خَلْفَهُ‏.‏ فَقُلْنَا يَا أَبَا عَمْرٍو مَنْ حَدَّثَكَ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ رضى الله عنهما‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of praying in line with the Prophet. It was narrated by Ash-Shaibani and Ash-Shu'bi who were informed by Ibn 'Abbas that when they passed by a grave that was separate from other graves, the Prophet led them in prayer and they lined up behind him. This hadith teaches us to be mindful of our prayers and to follow the example of our beloved prophet. We should strive to pray as he did so that we can gain Allah's blessings. Furthermore, it also reminds us to be respectful towards those who have passed away as we should not pass their graves without offering salutations upon them.
