The Punishment of Pride and Arrogance

SUMMARY: A person was punished for his pride and arrogance due to his physical appearance.

Abu Huraira reported that Allah's Messenger said that there was a person who used to walk with pride because of his thick hair and fine mantles. He was made to sink in the earth and he would go on sinking in the earth until the Last Hour would come.

QUICK LESSONS:
Do good deeds , Strive for humility & modesty
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a person who was punished for their pride and arrogance due to their physical appearance. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ warned us that Allah will punish those who are proud and arrogant, no matter how attractive they may appear on the outside. He said that this person would sink into the earth until the Last Hour comes, which is when all people will be judged by Allah according to their deeds in this life. We should remember that Allah does not judge us based on our looks or material possessions, but rather on our actions and intentions. Therefore, we should strive to do good deeds in order to please Him, instead of being proud or arrogant about what we have been blessed with in this life.
