The Consequences of Carelessness and Negligence

SUMMARY: This hadith warns us of the consequences of carelessness and negligence.

This hadith has been reported on the authority of Jabir through another chain of transmitters but with a slight variation of words: " The mouse may set the house on fire over its inhabitants".
وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِهِمْ وَقَالَ ‏ "‏ وَالْفُوَيْسِقَةُ تُضْرِمُ الْبَيْتَ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ
