Prohibiting the Mixing of Grapes and Dates

SUMMARY: It is prohibited to mix grapes and dates together to prepare Nabidh.

Abu Sa'id reported that Allah's Messenger prohibited us to mix grapes and dry dates together and unripe dates and dry dates (to prepare Nabidh.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ أَبُو مَسْلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ نَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ أَنْ نَخْلِطَ بَيْنَ الزَّبِيبِ وَالتَّمْرِ وَأَنْ نَخْلِطَ الْبُسْرَ وَالتَّمْرَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about Allah's Messenger prohibiting us from mixing grapes and dates together to make a drink called Nabidh. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that it was not allowed to mix these two fruits together in order to make this drink. He wanted us to be mindful of what we consume and how we prepare our food or drinks. We should always be aware of the ingredients that go into our meals so that we can ensure they are healthy for us. This hadith also teaches us about moderation in all aspects of life - even when it comes to food or drinks! We should not overindulge in anything as it can have negative effects on our health and wellbeing.
