Prohibiting the Preparation of Nabidh

SUMMARY: Allah's Messenger prohibited the preparation of Nabidh by mixing grapes and fresh dates, as well as unripe dates with fresh dates.

Jabir b. Abdullah al-Ansari reported that Allah's Messenger Prohibited the preparation of Nabidh by mixing grapes and fresh dates. and he forbade the preparation of Nabidh by mixing unripe dates with fresh dates.
وَحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ الْمَكِّيِّ، مَوْلَى حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أَنَّهُ نَهَى أَنْ يُنْبَذَ الزَّبِيبُ وَالتَّمْرُ جَمِيعًا وَنَهَى أَنْ يُنْبَذَ الْبُسْرُ وَالرُّطَبُ جَمِيعًا

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about Allah's Messenger prohibiting the preparation of a beverage called nabidh. The Prophet forbade mixing grapes and fresh dates together to make this drink, as well as mixing unripe dates with fresh ones. This hadith teaches us that we should be mindful of what we consume and not mix things that are not meant to be mixed together. It also teaches us to respect the teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, who was sent by Allah SWT to guide us in all aspects of life including food consumption. We should strive to follow his teachings in order for our lives to be successful both in this world and in the hereafter.
