EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith emphasizes the importance of being generous and kind to others. It is narrated by Uqba b. Amir al-Juhan, who was a companion of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Being generous means giving something without expecting anything in return, while kindness is showing compassion or mercy towards someone else’s feelings or needs. Both generosity and kindness are important values that should be practiced in our daily lives as Muslims, as they are highly praised by Allah SWT in the Quran and Sunnah alike. We should strive to be generous with our wealth, time, knowledge, skills etc., as well as show kindness towards everyone we meet regardless of their background or beliefs; this will bring us closer to Allah SWT’s pleasure and reward us with His blessings both in this world and the hereafter inshaAllah!
