The Forbidden Night Visitor

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) forbade people from coming to their family like an unexpected night visitor.

It has been narrated (through a different chain of transmitters) on the authority of Jabir who said: The Messenger of Allah forbade that a man who had long absent should come to his family like (an unexpected) night visitor.

QUICK LESSONS:
Give proper notice before visiting your family

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of respecting one's family and not coming to them like an unexpected night visitor. It was narrated by Jabir that the Prophet Muhammad forbade people from doing this, as it can be seen as disrespectful and intrusive. He taught us that we should always respect our families and give them proper notice before visiting them, so they can prepare for our arrival. This hadith also teaches us the importance of being considerate towards others, especially those closest to us such as our families. We should always think about how our actions will affect those around us before we do something, and make sure that we are not intruding on someone else's privacy or space without their permission or knowledge.
