Booty from Expedition to Najd

SUMMARY: The Prophet sent an expedition to Najd and the fighters got a large number of camels as a booty, with each fighter getting 11 or 12 camels.

It has been narrated on the authority of Ibn Umar that the Prophet sent an expedition to Najd and I was among the troops. They got a large number of camels as a booty. Eleven or twelve camels fell to the lot of every fighter and each of them also got one extra camel.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ بَعَثَ النَّبِيُّ سَرِيَّةً وَأَنَا فِيهِمْ قِبَلَ نَجْدٍ فَغَنِمُوا إِبِلاً كَثِيرَةً فَكَانَتْ سُهْمَانُهُمُ اثْنَى عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا أَوْ أَحَدَ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنُفِّلُوا بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad sent an expedition to Najd, which is a region in Saudi Arabia. As part of the spoils of war, each fighter was given 11 or 12 camels as well as one extra camel. This hadith teaches us that it is important to be generous and share what we have with others. It also shows us that it is important to be thankful for what we have been given and not take more than our fair share. We should also remember that Allah rewards those who are generous and kind-hearted towards others.
