Unfaithfulness on the Day of Judgment

SUMMARY: On the Day of Judgment, every person who has been unfaithful will be identified by a flag and their breach of faith will be announced.

It has been narrated on the authority of Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah said: There will be for every perfidious person on the Day of Judgment a flag by which he will be recognized. It will be announced: Here is the breach of faith of so and so.
وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ لِكُلِّ غَادِرٍ لِوَاءٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يُعْرَفُ بِهِ يُقَالُ هَذِهِ غَدْرَةُ فُلاَنٍ

On the day of judgment, every person who has been unfaithful or disbelieved in Allah's teachings will be identified by a flag or banner. This announcement will serve as a reminder to all those present that this person had committed an act of disbelief and was not faithful to Allah's teachings. This hadith serves as a warning for all believers to remain steadfast in their faith and not succumb to any form of disbelief or unfaithfulness. It is also important for believers to remember that on the day of judgment, everyone’s deeds will be judged according to what they have done in life and no one can escape from being held accountable for their actions. Therefore, it is essential for believers to strive towards righteousness and remain faithful throughout their lives so that they may receive Allah’s mercy on the day when all deeds are judged.
