EXPLANATIONS:
On the Day of Judgement, each person who has committed perfidy or betrayal will be identified by a flag. This hadith is narrated by Ibn Umar and was reported to him from the Messenger of Allah. The Prophet's words serve as a warning to all believers that they should not commit any acts that are considered perfidious in nature such as lying or cheating. If they do so then they will be easily identifiable on the day when everyone is judged for their deeds and actions. It is important for us to remember this hadith and strive to live our lives in accordance with Islamic teachings so that we can avoid being labelled as someone who has committed perfidy on the day when all our deeds are accounted for.
