Sahih Muslim 593f (Book 30, Hadith 14) #11594
Forbidden Actions in Islam

SUMMARY: Allah has forbidden disobedience to mothers, burying alive daughters, withholding the right of others, irrelevant talk, persistent questioning and wasting of wealth.

Mughira b. Shu'ba reported Allah's Messenger as saying: Verity Allah, the Glorious and Majestic, has forbidden for you: disobedience to mothers, and burying alive daughters, withholding the right of others in spite of having the power to return that to them and demanding that (which is not one's legitimate right). And He disapproved three things for you; irrelevant talk, persistent questioning and wasting of wealth.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the actions that are forbidden in Islam. Allah has prohibited us from disobeying our mothers, burying alive our daughters, withholding the rights of others even if we have the power to return them and demanding something that is not ours by right. He also disapproved three other things which are talking without purpose or relevance, asking too many questions and wasting wealth unnecessarily. These teachings remind us to be respectful towards our parents and those around us as well as being mindful with how we use our resources so that they can be used for good causes instead of being wasted away on unnecessary things.
