The Sin of Hoarding

SUMMARY: Hoarding is a sin and should be avoided.

Ma'mar (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger as saying: He who hoards is a sinner. It was said to Sa'id (b. al-Musayyib): You also hoard. Sa'id said: Ma'mar who narrated this hadith also hoarded.

QUICK LESSONS:
Avoid hoarding
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us that hoarding is a sin in the eyes of Allah. It is an act of greed which should be avoided as it goes against the teachings of Islam. Sa'id b. al-Musayyib was accused of hoarding but he defended himself by saying that even Ma'mar who narrated this hadith also hoarded. This shows us that we are all human and make mistakes but we must strive to avoid such sins as much as possible in order to please Allah and live our lives according to His teachings.
