Prohibitions on Hiring Camels and Selling Land

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) forbade the hiring of a camel to cover a she-camel, and from selling water and land to be tilled.

Jabir b. 'Abdullah (Allah be pleased with him) reported that Allah's Messenger forbade the hiring of a Camel to cover a she-Camel and from selling water and land to be tilled. So from all this the Messenger of Allah forbade.

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect others in all dealings; Treat others fairly; Do not exploit natural resources; Do not take advantage of someone's need for something else

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the prohibitions that were taught by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He forbade people from hiring camels to cover she-camels, as well as selling water or land for tilling purposes. This hadith teaches us that we should not take advantage of others in any way, whether it is through buying or selling something at an unfair price or taking advantage of someone's need for something else. We should always strive to treat others with respect and fairness in all our dealings with them. Furthermore, this hadith also teaches us that we should not exploit natural resources such as water or land for our own benefit without considering the consequences it may have on other people who depend on these resources for their livelihoods.
