Sahih Muslim 1523a (Book 21, Hadith 28) #10956
Forbidden to Sell for Desert Dwellers

SUMMARY: It is forbidden to sell something for someone who lives in the desert, even if they are related.

Anas b. Malik (Allah be pleased with him) reported: We were forbidden that a townsman should sell for a man of the desert, even if he is his brother or father.

QUICK LESSONS:
Treat everyone with respect and kindness regardless of where they come from or how different their lifestyle may be from ours.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith from Anas b. Malik teaches us that it is forbidden to sell something for someone who lives in the desert, even if they are related. This could be because of the difficulty of communication and transportation between towns and deserts, or because of a lack of trust between those two groups. Whatever the reason may be, this hadith reminds us that we should not take advantage of people who live far away from us or have different lifestyles than ours. We should treat everyone with respect and kindness regardless of where they come from or how different their lifestyle may be from ours.
