Strive towards fairness in all dealings with others regardless of social status or position in society; Treat slaves equitably; Fix a fair price for emancipation; Do not burden them too much while working off their debt; Show compassion towards them.

This hadith discusses how slaves should be emancipated in an equitable manner. If one of the joint owners does not have enough money to free the other half, then a fair price should be fixed for the slave and he should be allowed to work to pay for his freedom, but must not be over-burdened. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that justice is important even when dealing with slaves and that they must never suffer from unfair treatment or exploitation. He also taught us that we must always strive towards fairness in all our dealings with others regardless of their social status or position in society.
