This hadith is about Allah refuting a false belief that was held by some Jews. The belief was that if a man has intercourse with his wife while she is lying on her back, then any child born from this union will have a squint. In response to this, Allah revealed the verse “Your wives are your tilth; go then unto your tilth, as you may desire” in order to refute this false belief and explain that it does not matter how one has intercourse with their wife; it will not affect the child’s physical appearance or health.
