Sahih Muslim 1435a (Book 16, Hadith 137) #10672
Refuting False Beliefs Through Quran

SUMMARY: This hadith explains how the verse in the Quran was revealed to refute a false belief held by Jews that having intercourse with one's wife while she is on her back will cause the child to have squint.

Jabir (Allah be pleased with him) declared that the Jews used to say: When a man has intercourse with his wife through the vagina but being on her back. the child will have squint, so the verse came down:" Your wives are your tilth; go then unto your tilth as you may desire" (ii. 223)
