EXPLANATIONS:
According to the hadith reported by Rabi' b. Sabra on the authority of his father, Allah's Apostle prohibited the practice of temporary marriage or Mut’ah marriage. This type of marriage is a contract between two people for a limited period and it is not considered as a permanent union like Nikkah or regular marriage in Islam. It was practiced during pre-Islamic times but was later declared haram or forbidden by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ due to its potential for misuse and exploitation. This hadith serves as an important reminder that we should always follow the teachings and guidance provided by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in order to lead a life that pleases Allah SWT and earns us His blessings in this world and hereafter.
