EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a group of young people who asked the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) if they should castrate themselves. The word "castrate" means to remove someone's ability to reproduce by surgically removing their reproductive organs. In this case, it was referring to male castration. The Prophet did not give an answer, but instead changed the topic and mentioned that they were on an expedition. This could be interpreted as a way for him to avoid giving them permission or disapproval for their suggestion without directly saying no or yes. It could also be interpreted as him wanting them to focus on their mission rather than worrying about such matters at that time. From this hadith we can learn that it is important for us to stay focused on our goals and tasks at hand, rather than getting distracted by other matters which may not be relevant in that moment in time. We can also learn from this hadith that we should always seek guidance from those more knowledgeable than us when making decisions regarding our lives and futures, especially when it comes to matters related with religion or spirituality.
