Sahih Muslim 1403a (Book 16, Hadith 10) #10545
Faithfulness in Marriage

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the importance of being faithful to one's spouse and avoiding temptation.

Jabir reported that Allah's Messenger saw a woman, and so he came to his wife, Zainab, as she was tanning a leather and had sexual intercourse with her. He then went to his Companions and told them: The woman advances and retires in the shape of a devil, so when one of you sees a woman, he should come to his wife, for that will repel what he feels in his heart.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the importance of faithfulness in marriage. It tells us that when a person sees something that tempts them, they should go to their spouse instead. The Prophet Muhammad saw a woman and went back to his wife Zainab instead of giving into temptation. This teaches us that we should be faithful and loyal to our spouses, even if we are tempted by something else. We should remember that Allah is watching us at all times, so it is important for us to stay true to our commitments and not give into temptation or desires outside of marriage.
