Sacred Territory of Medina

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught that there is a sacred territory between two lava mountains in Medina and it should not be disturbed.

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported: If I were to see deer grazing in Medina, I would have never molested them, for Allah's Messenger has stated: There is between the two lava mountains a sacred territory.

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect all places of worship and follow instructions given by the Prophet Muhammad even if we do not understand why they are important.

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Abu Huraira states that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught about a sacred territory located between two lava mountains in the city of Medina. This area was to remain undisturbed and respected as it was considered holy. This hadith teaches us to respect all places of worship and to not disturb them or cause any harm. It also teaches us to respect the teachings of our Prophet Muhammad and follow his instructions even if we do not understand why they are important. We should also remember that all places have their own sanctity which must be respected regardless of religion or culture.
