Have someone related accompanying you on your travels and when you are alone so as to protect yourself from any harm or danger . Take care of your wives even if you have other commitments at hand .

This hadith is narrated by Ibn 'Abbas and it talks about the importance of having a Mahram accompany women when travelling or being alone with her. A Mahram is someone who is related to the woman in such a way that marriage between them would be considered haram. In this hadith, Allah's Messenger was delivering a sermon and made an observation that no person should be alone with a woman except when there is a Mahram with her, and the woman should not undertake journey except with a Mahram. A person then stood up and said that his wife has set out for pilgrimage whereas he was enlisted to fight in battle, to which Allah's Messenger replied that he should go perform Hajj with his wife.
