This hadith is about the Hajj, which is an Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca that Muslims are required to do at least once in their lifetime if they are able. It was narrated by Jabir b. 'Abdullah who described how Prophet Muhammad commanded them to sacrifice animals as part of the ritual and a group of seven people shared in sacrificing one animal when they were commanded to take off their Ihram after performing Umrah. This teaches us that it is important for Muslims to be generous with what they have and share with others, even if it means sacrificing something valuable or precious for them.
