Distributing Sacrificial Animals' Meat

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) instructed Ali b. Abi Talib to distribute the meat, hides, and saddle cloths of sacrificial animals to the poor and not give anything to the butcher.

Ali b. Abi Talib (Allah be pleased with him) reported: Allah's Apostle put him in charge of his sacrificial animals, and commanded him to distribute the whole of their meat, hides, and saddle cloths to the poor, and not to give to the butcher anything out of them.

QUICK LESSONS:
Helping those in need by providing them with what they require before considering our own needs or wants .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about distributing sacrificial animals' meat among the poor people. The Prophet Muhammad commanded Ali b. Abi Talib to distribute all of the meat, hides, and saddle cloths from these animals to those in need instead of giving any of it away to a butcher or anyone else who was not in need. This teaches us that we should always prioritize helping those who are less fortunate than us by providing them with what they need before considering our own needs or wants. We should also remember that Allah rewards those who help others generously and selflessly without expecting anything in return for their good deeds.
