Giving Away Sacrificial Animals as Charity

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) instructed his companion to give away the flesh, skins and saddle cloths of sacrificial animals as charity, but not to give anything to the butcher.

'All (Allah be pleased with him) reported: Allah's Messenger put me in charge of his sacrificial animals, that I should give their flesh. skins and saddle cloths as sadaqa, but not to give anything to the butcher, saying: We would pay him ourselves.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ، الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ أَنْ أَقُومَ عَلَى بُدْنِهِ وَأَنْ أَتَصَدَّقَ بِلَحْمِهَا وَجُلُودِهَا وَأَجِلَّتِهَا وَأَنْ لاَ أُعْطِيَ الْجَزَّارَ مِنْهَا قَالَ ‏ "‏ نَحْنُ نُعْطِيهِ مِنْ عِنْدِنَا

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ instructed his companion All that he should give away the flesh, skins and saddle cloths of sacrificial animals as sadaqa or charity. He also said that they should not give anything to the butcher for their services. This teaches us that we should always be generous in our giving and help those who are in need without expecting anything in return. It also shows us how important it is to help those who are less fortunate than us and how we can use our resources for good deeds.
