QUICK LESSONS:
Pray to Allah on special occasions
EXPLANATIONS:
During a solar eclipse, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ led his followers in prayer. He performed two rak’ats, which are units of prayer consisting of standing up straight, bowing down and prostrating on the ground. The first rak’at was longer than usual. This hadith teaches us that we should take advantage of special occasions to pray to Allah and seek His blessings. It also shows us that we should be mindful of our prayers and perform them with full concentration even if it takes more time than usual.
